- Sheep. Sheep is the first priority for slaghtering Adhiya Qurbani because it was brought to our father Nabi Ibrahim aleih salaam from heaven when he intended to slaughter his son Nabi Ismael aleih salaam offering him in sacrifice to Allah Subhanahu Wataala in accordance to his dream .
- Goat , Goat is permissible to slaughter in offering of sacred sacrifices to Allah Subhanahu Wataala as Adhiya.
- Cow, Camel, Cow and Camel are among animus permissible for sacrifice of Adhiya Qurban , according to Sharia, a cow or Camel is offered by seven people to Allah Subhanahu Wataala in sacred sacrifice as Adhiya Qurban. seven people all intend to slaughter one cow or Camel, and every body must be his share after slaughtering to be distributed as one sheep or goat.
Defects that makes above animals eligible for Adhiya Qurban not Valid
- If animal has not reached the age, meaning if its immature, still young. for cow and camel, must have reached to age of production, females must be able to get pregnant and males must be able to make a female pregnant.
- Must not be pregnant animal.
- Must not have broken leg
- must have both eyes
- if its male with horns, must have both horns
- It must not have gone through any form of animal cutting of some parts for some reasons for example male sheeps,Goats, cows,Camels, etc people tend to take out their male genital parts to make them become fat. In Sheeps they cut off the tail, etc.
- the animal must not be sick of anykind of sickness
- Must not be hungry at the time of slaughtering,hunger is considered sickness.
- Must have been stolen or obtained by force such as paid as ransom, or payment of debt. Some owes money and she or he gives an animal as payment of debt. This is not permissible for Qurban because its obtained out of force from previous owner. Adhiya-Qurban must be obtained with love and compassion as a present you gift to Allah Subhanahu Wataala.
- Musty not be too old
- Must not be too skinny
- It Must be healthy and presentable looks great.
