Taraweh Imams are special Imams who are sent to mosques purposely to lead Taraweh Salah in the Holy Month of Ramadan. Taraweh Imams must have the following qualifications:
- Must memorize entire Holy Quran.
- Must be able to read eloquently so that listeners understand what he is reading
- Must be mentally and physically healthy
- Must be free from smoking cigarette, dakha, tobacco of any form, and any intoxication
- Must be free from any forbidden action such as not involved in having unlawful girl friends
- Must be inclined to Islamic dressing
- Must be humble
