Halaal Inspectors

Halaal Inspectors (HI) are trained personnel for Halaal inspections. they observe Halaal Standards in the products and services Processing in the following ways:

  • Meat Slaughtering
  • Ingredients used in foods, drinks and Cosmetics.
  • Storage of Meat, Foods, drinks
  • Package of Meat, Foods, drinks
  • Transportation of meat, foods, and drinks

Qualified Halaal Inspectors are trained and Issued with graduation certificates and identification Card with a Registration Number renewed annually.

Classes of Halaal Inspectors

HI01 Field Inspector who visits Shops, business Addresses, to confirm compliance to Halaal standards observation as per certification. etc.

HI02 Slaughter House Inspector who witnesses slaughtering procedures

HI03 Laboratory Inspector who examine chemicals in productions of especially cosmetics, soaps, drinks, everything for industrial processing and manufacturing.

HI04 Financial services inspector

HI05 food ingredients Inspector

HI06 Processed meat Inspector such as sausages, meat and Chicken pieces before packed for distribution in super markets, and other Distribution outlets.

HI07 Storage and Transportation Inspector

Requirements to be enrolled for Training and qualification as a Halaal Inspector:

  • ID or Passport
  • Proof of Address
  • Registration fee of R 500 Paid annually
  • Must be a Muslim
  • Uniform Fee R 500
