Office of the Grand Mufti of South Africa: His Excellency Cryl Ramaphoza President of Republic of South Africa announced last night the 15th of march 2020 that the COVID-19 ( Corona Virus) Outbreak has been declared a national state of disaster in terms of the disaster Management Act. This is in Recognition if its magnitude and severity in South Africa. 62 people officially confirmed COVID-19 positive and all of them travel from different countries to South Africa as reported by Ministry of health of the government of South Africa.
Directive Measures:
1. limit local travels from place to another especially using public transport like air plane, buses, Mini Buses, etc.
2. Gatherings should be minimal if possible not exceed 100 people, management will come with official announcement regarding Friday Prayers by Wednesday if the condition continues to get worse, Mosques are expected to conduct prayers not in gatherings any more.
3. Meetings of anykind should be postponed until further notice. the management is looking forward for more Government official announcements and international COVID-19 Watch for more Updates
